Our take
The MSI MAG401QR offers an immersive ultrawide experience with its 40-inch UWQHD screen. The 155Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time make it great for fast-paced games. Colors are rich, and the flat panel avoids the curve preference issue. The USB-C input is handy for laptop connectivity. At $280, it's a decent deal for a large ultrawide. However, the stand only tilts, lacking height and swivel adjustments, which is disappointing for this price. Also, the 1000:1 contrast ratio is standard IPS—not great for dark scenes.
